¿Recordáis que hace casi un año os recomendaba preparar galletas de chocolate para que el chico que os gustaba se enamorase perdidamente de vosotras? Pues la receta que os traigo hoy es muchísimo más efectiva para ese fin. Lo sé, porque en una sola tarde me salieron veinte pretendientes. Cierto es que ninguno medía más de un metro y que su forma de cortejo no fue demasiado sutil, me tiraban de la falda, alargaban la mano y con media sonrisa balbuceaban: ¡Más! Pero a estas alturas no nos vamos a engañar, de los chicos eso es lo que hay que esperar.
El ingrediente estrella de esta receta es el azúcar panela, que es el que se obtiene en el paso anterior al moscabado, es todavía menos refinado. La panela es el resultado de la evaporación de los jugos de la caña de azúcar antes de someterla a ningún proceso. No solamente endulza, también aporta un sabor delicado y un color precioso a las galletas.
– 140-170 gramos de azúcar porque la cantidad de azúcar es como la de sal, muy personal
– 200 gramos de mantequilla
– 1 huevo pequeño y ecológico
– 425 gramos de harina
– 1 cucharadita de una buena pasta de vainilla
– 1 cucharadita de canela
– Una pizca de sal
Elaboración
Los pasos a seguir son los siguientes:
• Batimos ligeramente la mantequilla.
• Añadimos el azúcar panela a la mantequilla y batimos a velocidad baja poco tiempo
• Añadimos el huevo, la sal, la canela y la vainilla
• Añadimos la mitad de la harina y batimos hasta integrar
• Añadimos la mitad restante y volvemos a batir
• Amasamos sin miedo
• Estiramos la masa a 3 mm de grosor y marcamos con el cortador la forma de las hojas. Enfriamos las galletas y cuando estén bien frías las “desmoldamos”. Así conseguimos que los piquitos de las hojas queden perfectos.
• Con un cuchillo marcamos las nervaduras de las hojas
• Horneamos 6 o 7 minutos a 180º C. Mientras horneamos las galletas, aprovechamos y calentamos una bandeja extra. Sacamos las galletas del horno y rápidamente colocamos la bandeja sobre ellas. La levantamos a los tres minutos y… ¡Galletas extra lisas!
Decoración
Con estas galletas inauguro una nueva sección que he llamado “decoraciones alternativas”, a puntito he estado de ponerle “galletas indies”, pero me he contenido. Estíbaliz y yo amamos la glasa, pero glasear 200 galletas no se hace en un ratito. Si tenemos una boda y nos han encargado una galleta por invitado no nos queda otra, nos armarnos de valor, organizamos bien el trabajo y no soltamos la manga en una semana. Pero otras veces, por ejemplo para la mesa dulce en un evento, donde podemos jugar con varios elementos, puedo resultar más práctico y elegante preparar una bandeja con cuatro o cinco galletas estrellas y el resto decorarlas de forma sencilla para que las acompañen, o incluso podemos no decorarlas en absoluto. Las galletas las hacemos para comérnoslas y para que se las coman, y sin nada por encima están deliciosas.

If Iran can strike Israel with missiles, then this canal will do nothing to open the strait. You'd be better off building rail lines on land through Iraq or Saudi Arabia. The rails are easier to repair after missile attacks.
However, if they tell investors that they'll use AI to secure it, they'll be able to raise $3 or $4 Trillion in a couple of weeks!
Likely pipelines would be the preferred short/mid-term solution.
