(Refresco de maíz willkaparu)
Ingredientes
- 16 litros agua
- 1 kilo maíz willkaparu
- palito canela (de dos pulgadas de largo más o menos)
- clavos de olor
- 1 ramita delgada de hinojo fresco de 10 centímetros más o menos
- 1 cucharada semilla de culantro (tostado y triturado)
- 1 cucharada semilla de anís (tostado y triturado)
- 1/2 taza agua hirviendo
- 1/2 taza azúcar para el caramelo
- 1/2 taza agua hirviendo
- azúcar al gusto para endulzar la tostada.
Preparacion
1º- Poner a fuego fuerte una olla de barro o una sartén muy limpia y tostar el maíz muy ligeramente, mezclando todo el tiempo con cuchara de madera.
2º— El maíz tostado poner sobre el batán y con la piedra de encima triturar un poco, de manera que cada grano se rompa en cuatro o seis partes (no moler).
3º— Poner en una olla grande cuatro litros de agua y en cuanto rompa a hervir, agregar el n:.dz tostado y triturado con la canela y el clavo de olor; dejar cocer hasta que el maíz reviente por lo menos tres horas, agregar agua hirviendo cada vez que disminuya para mantener la cantidad inicial de agua.
4º— Cuando el maíz ya haya reventado, sacar todo el agua, poner al cántaro donde tenga que fermentar y agregar al maíz otros cuatro litros de agua, dejar hervir, escurrir nuevamente el agua, poner al cántaro, esto por tercera y cuarta vez hasta tener los dieciséis litros.
La última vez echar al cántaro el maíz reventado que ha hervido; con la canela y el clavo, y agregar la ramita de hinojo.
5º— En una sartén pequeña muy limpia tostar el culantro y el anís, triturar un poco en el mortero, poner en una cacerola, añadir la media taza de agua hirviendo, dejar hervir unos cinco minutos y agregar a la tostada. Dejar fermentar tres o cuatro días.
CARAMELO PARA LA TOSTADA
Poner a fuego moderado en una cacerola pequeña la media taza de azúcar y moviendo constantemente, dejar que el azúcar se acaramele, hasta tener un color dorado; sacar del fuego, agregar la media taza de agua hirviendo y dejar disolver.
Colar unos cuatro litros de tostada, agregar el caramelo, poner azúcar al gusto y servir.
Poner caramelo y azúcar sólo para la tostada que se use en el día, porque si se deja mucho tiempo la tostada dulce, se pone flemosa.

@SeanPLynch Yeah I was also thinking about that, the drone threat can be mostly protected against with drone nets, but those missiles are the real issue, wondering if patriots defending just this line would be able to take them down, if the drones didn't swarm them.

If Iran can strike Israel with missiles, then this canal will do nothing to open the strait. You'd be better off building rail lines on land through Iraq or Saudi Arabia. The rails are easier to repair after missile attacks.
However, if they tell investors that they'll use AI to secure it, they'll be able to raise $3 or $4 Trillion in a couple of weeks!
Likely pipelines would be the preferred short/mid-term solution.
