Ensalada Caliente de Lacayote
Ingredientes
- 1 lacayote mediano tierno, pelado y cortado = 6 tazas
- 2 tazas agua
- 8 papas imillas medianas
- 1/2 taza de arvejas verdes peladas
- 1/2 cucharilla sal a al gusto
- 1/4 taza de aceite o manteca
- 1 taza cebolla blanca picada fina (sin lavar)
- 1 taza tomate pelado y picado fino
- 1/4 taza perejil picado fino
- 1/4 cucharilla comino molido
- 2 dientes de ajo, pelado y picado fino
- 1 cucharilla ají (si se quiere)
- 1/2 cucharilla sal o al gusto
- 1 taza caldo o agua hirviendo
- 1 cucharada vinagre o al gusto
Preparacion
lº— Pelar el lacayote, cortar en 4 o 6 pedazos a lo largo y cada uno de estos pedazos cortar en tajadas muy delgadas, casi transparentes, medir las seis tazas necesarias.
2º— Poner una olla con el agua a fuego fuerte; en cuanto rompa a hervir agregar el lacayote, cuando vuelva a hervir, añadir las arvejas y las papas, dejar cocinar hasta que todo esté muy bien cocido. Escurrir muy bien.
3º— En otra olla poner el aceite a fuego fuerte, cuando ya esté caliente añadir la cebolla picada y dejar dorar mezclando de rato en rato, después agregar el tomate, perejil, comino, ajo, ají, si se quiere, sal y caldo o agua hirviendo. Dejar cocinar por unos veinte minutos hasta que todo esté muy bien cocido.
4º— Agregar a la anterior salsa el lacayote con las arvejas y papas cocidas, mezclar muy bien, poco antes de servir poner la cucharada de vinagre, si se quiere.
Servir caliente para acompañar un asado o solo.
Si se quiere servir como plato único, no para acompañar un asado, agregar una taza de carne de vaca, picada, a la salsita, cuando se esté dorando la cebolla.

If Iran can strike Israel with missiles, then this canal will do nothing to open the strait. You'd be better off building rail lines on land through Iraq or Saudi Arabia. The rails are easier to repair after missile attacks.
However, if they tell investors that they'll use AI to secure it, they'll be able to raise $3 or $4 Trillion in a couple of weeks!
Likely pipelines would be the preferred short/mid-term solution.
